Projectspace 38.40 hosts an artist talk with Dutch sculptor Folkert de Jong and British artist Tild Greene. Together, they’ll explore the ideas behind their bronze works, from consumer relics to abstract tools, and reflect on what we choose to preserve in a throwaway world. semester9 presents WHAT REMAINS, a duo exhibition by Folkert de Jong (NL) and Tild Greene (UK). Working in bronze, the traditional material of monuments, they capture not heroes but objects of labor, consumption and impermanence. The exhibition asks what truly endures in a world where progress and collapse move in parallel. What remains are forms suspended between artifact and organism, between personal memory and collective forgetting.
During Amsterdam Art Week, Semester 9 proudly presents the new duo exhibition WHAT REMAINS by Tild Green and Folkert de Jong. The festive opening will take place on Friday 23 May starting at 17:00 at Projectspace 38/40.

In “Closed Views” at Projectspace, KT Kobel presents uncanny, cinematic paintings, veiled by recurring curtains and bathed in eerie blue light, that probe the unstable, layered nature of memory and the very act of remembering.
In collaboration with MOYA Museum, Menno Pasveer transforms everyday tools, screws, bleach bottles, hammers, and metal polish, into oversized, hyper-realistic sculptures that recontextualize the mundane and reveal the hidden artistry in objects we habitually overlook.
Post - fascism investigates how algorithms draw our attention to sensational violence, alienate us from reality through overstimulation and finally seduce us to speculate about our past, present and the future.
